Before planning your trip to the Netherlands, it’s important to check if you need an entry visa which you can do online. As a member of the Schengen area, visitors from certain countries may be exempt from a visa requirement.
If you do require a visa, we recommend applying for it at least six weeks before your planned travel date to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience. If you’ve registered for RIPE 86, we’re happy to provide you with an invitation letter upon request to support your visa application.
If you are transiting through another country en route to the Netherlands, you may also need a transit visa depending on your nationality and the countries you will be traveling through. Your airline will be able to provide you with further information on this.
